Theology Thursday (The Clear And Foundational Path)

 

In my last Seamless Southern Style, Theology Thursday post I simply restated what Paul Enns says in his book: The Moody Handbook of Theology "Biblical theology is preliminary to systematic theology; exegesis leads to Biblical theology which in turn leads to systematic theology." 

What I am more or less saying is the clear and foundational path of THEOLOGY has been rightly studied and clearly defined and it is this path we must adhere to.

Now that Theology Thursday has moved to this site, we will continue to study the work of Theology weekly. 

Thankfully we have a bit of exegetical (exegesis) work behind us and are somewhat prepared to dig into the remaining cultivated clear path of the lifelong exciting study of Theology, full well knowing the exegetical work of the text never ends!

Simply put the Biblical text must be studied before any and all systems!
