CHURCH: A BIBLICAL HISTORY OF HORROR, HURT, HOPE AND HEALING:
Abraham's House
In the Old Testament the key word HOUSE (bah'-yith), also means TEMPLE, which is of course the CHURCH of the early biblical character: Abraham.
The Biblical Roll Call Of Faith clearly communicates the obvious possibilities of the biblical characters shifting perspective over a lifetime of fidelity.
Why, when Abraham started on his journey to a place he did not know, he was a Sojourner, but by the end of his journey with the Lord, we know Abraham to be no thing but a Saint and a leader of The Roll Call of Faith found in the New Testament Book of Hebrews!
Abraham's story is marred, mixed and mingled with dedication, dutifulness and deceit!
What's incredibly fascinating is many of the biblical characters have more than one personal perspective through-out their life of being members of the body of believers.
This shifting perspective is actually quite understanding, since we know and understand Abraham's life evolved greatly over time.
In the Book of Genesis, we see much horror , hurt and healing through-out the life of this dedicated, engaged obedient servant!
Abraham, was hurt by his nephew Lot!
Abraham, was likely horrified by the events of Sodom and Sodom and Gomorrah!
And, Abraham was healed by the grace and mercy of the Lord (Isaac)
