DO YOU WANT TO BUILD THE HOUSE?

This morning I am thinking of DAVID and how he must have felt receiving the NEWS (below) directly from the LORD.

Nevertheless, you shall not build the house, but your son who shall be born to you shall build the house for my name.’ 1 Kings 8:19 ESV

Times are HARD and people are HURTING. The HORROR is relentless and HOPE feels fleeting. 

BUT, friends, feeling are not FACTS! 

True and everlasting HOPE is found in the person of JESUS!

Might we never forget, even in our final hour, true and everlasting HOPE can be found in JESUS. 

When I think about final hour HOPE, I always default to the CRIMINAL on the CROSS of Calvary, hanging there with CHRIST, in his final hour. I always default to hearing a near death Jesus say to the criminal: “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

HE didn't say hopefully, tomorrow!

HE didn't say hopefully, Thursday!

HE said today!

And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43

HE is a TODAY, kinda HOPE JESUS!

The simple and plain TRUTH is our FATHER in heaven knows all, sees all and is in complete control of all things. SO, we need to be on guard, ready and willing to be about OUR FATHER'S business, each and every day HE blesses us with the opportunity to get up, get dressed and BREATH the air HE allows us to breath on this side of eternity.

I don't want any part of my assignment to be negated to another generation!

I want to build the HOUSE, HE has assigned me to build and I also, desire to live, love, learn and lead in that HOUSE.

Please know, I am not speaking of an actual HOUSE, house, but a spiritual dwelling place in my HEART, in which I am at PEACE with eating everything on the PLATE, which our HEAVENLY FATHER has set before me.

WHAT ABOUT you? Do you want to build the house?

Or, do you want your behavior, your disobedience to result in the LORD negating your assignment to a future generation?
