Rebuilding Biblical Foundations in 2020: A Year Long Study of Genesis 1 - Day 1 Week 4/53 : HEAVEN

Y'all!

Have you heard that song by Kane Brown! I think it's titled: Heaven.  The main stanza just tore me up! "Everybody's talking about HEAVEN like they just can't wait to go!"

Well, would you just not know it? Kane is not the first one to talk about Heaven!

heav·en
/ˈhevən/
noun
  1. 1.
a place regarded in various religions as the abode of God (or the gods) and the angels, and of the good after death, often traditionally depicted as being above the sky.

The Holy Word of God mentions Heaven over six hundred times! Let's see ...

The Book of Matthew is the leader in the number of times Heaven is mentioned in a book with seventy-five mentions. The Book of Psalm is a close second, with Heaven being mentioned and or reference some seventy-three times. And of course the Book of Revelation mentions Heaven fifty-five times. But what I find most interesting is the almost tie between the book of Deuteronomy and Jeremiah. Each book mentions Heaven thirty-six and thirty-four times respectively.

But, today, what has my attention is Heaven Singing! I also noticed some other interesting facts which we will discuss later on in the week.

We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies. Jeremiah 51:9

He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by his understanding. Jeremiah 51:15

When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens; and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth: he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures. Jeremiah 51:16

Then the heaven and the earth, and all that is therein, shall sing for Babylon: for the spoilers shall come unto her from the north, saith the Lord. Jeremiah 51:48

Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall spoilers come unto her, saith the Lord. Jeremiah 51:53
